I Loved combining!!!!! :) I would Love to do it again next Summer, if that's what God has for me. ;) I ended up staying with my cousin in her 5th wheel and her sister. ;) It was so much fun! I got to know them better too. :) A normal combining day looked like this. Be at work by 10 or sometimes 9:30, go to the field and start combining. You take your lunch with you and the only time you stop is to use the restroom. I would snack all day and when I got home at 10ish, I would eat dinner. Around 4:30-5:30 I would stop, because my combine had a problem of over heating. My boss would come over and spray the combine off and then I was good to go. We would normally stop around 9:15-30. We wipe off our windows (they get So dusty) and then get our stuff and head back to the shop. Sometimes we wouldn't get back to the shop till 10:15. Some of the fields took awhile to get to. :)
Me in my combine. ;)
July rolled around and with it our family reunion. This year it happened the week of the 4th. I ended up only being there for the first couple days. I started work that same week. It was great seeing our cousins, who we don't get to see very often. It was also Great to spend time with family. ;)
All the girl cousins. ;)
The last week in May we went camping with our cousins. ;) It was a Blast!!! :) We went to the coast and what does it do at the coast.... It rains! During the day it was Great the sun came out and it wasn't to cold. But at night it was a different story. It rained like cats and dogs. Now when I say we were camping, we were camping. We all slept in tents, except the Mom's, who slept in the car. So, the first night just as we were going to bed it started to rain. It rained all night long. The next morning we woke up to dripping Wet sleeping bags, tents and we were even wet. The only ones who weren't wet were the Mom's. The Mom's decided to go find a laundry mat and dry our sleeping bags and pillows. All of us kids stayed at the campground and talked. When the Mom's got back they had dry sleeping bags, pillows and a God Story. They stop at the campground office and asked where there was a laundry mat. They told her where in town one was and as they were leaving some guys sitting out side said they thought it was free drier Wednesday. :) When they got there what do you know, it was Free Drier Wednesday! :) God is so Good! :)
We went to Fort Clatsop and walked around. ;) They have cool trash cans and recycle bins. ;)
Having a Great time at the coast. ;) One afternoon some of us went swimming. (They went all the way in)
Me at the coast. ;) I didn't go swimming, because I was just getting over a cold.
There were Amazing Sunsets while we were there. God Is Amazing!!!!
We also went to Fort Stevens. Here is one of their Big guns. Yep, it's a gun not a canon. ;)
Emma and Mare on the Jetty. ;) Some of us walked quite a ways down the jetty.
(I'm so far behind in post. :P I'm going to try and catch up in the next couple of weeks.)
Mom, Mare, Tina, and I all traveled down to CA the 21 of May and stayed through the 26. Our Aunt died and her memorial was on the 25. We had a good time with our Grandpa, cousins, Aunts, and Uncles. I'm so glad that I could go. I wasn't sure if I could, because of work. But my boss didn't need me that week so I got to go! I'm so glad that I could be there. It was good to be there with my cousins, who were the closes to her.
The sunrise on the way down.
One night my Aunt took us out to dinner, it was at the harbor. After dinner we walked down to the beach and walked out onto the jetty. ;)
A group picture.
One afternoon we walked down to the ocean and went swimming. ;) It was so much fun!
God gave us Great weather on the way down and on the way back up. We had a Great trip.
The month of May has been So weird, weather wise. The first couple of weeks in May was Hot and when I say Hot I mean 90's Hot! We were scared for a little bit, because it was so Hot and it didn't look like it was going to rain for awhile. But God gave us rain!! :) For the last two weeks in May we got rain! :) It has now been off and on with rain. Our yard was in Full bloom for about two weeks. It was beautiful! We have all different colors of rhododendrons. ;)
God has made some Beautiful flowers! Hope you all have a Great Day!
